The new plugin is built upon the “Quick Keys” controller developed by Xencelabs, which resembles a wireless remote control. Alongside features for volume adjustment and a play/pause/standby button, the “Quick Keys” remote for Roon includes eight extra buttons that can be customized for specific control functions.

With rooMax, users have the flexibility to customize all buttons and assign them to various Roon functions. Furthermore, this remote control solution boasts a robust battery for uninterrupted use, a wireless connection with an impressive range (approximately 10 meters indoors, as stated by the manufacturer), and includes its own WLAN dongle.
