Node Audio will unveil its new product line, Atom, this weekend at the UK HiFi Show Live in Ascot. Combining advanced materials, patented acoustic engineering, and precision craftsmanship, the 525 and 650 members of the Atom product line represent a significant step forward in loudspeaker design and performance, according to the designers.

Node Atom 525 and 650

Node Audio is based in the UK and has a small portfolio. The Hylixa Signature is its only model, but it is a technically and visually striking loudspeaker. The Hylixa Signature is now joined by the Atom product line, which includes the 525 monitor model and the 650 floorstander. A matching stand is available as an option for the 525. “We wanted to create a loudspeaker that is both technically extraordinary and emotionally captivating, and that’s what the Atom is,” explains Node Audio about the Atom product line.

Both the 525 and 650 utilize Node Audio’s patented Helical Transmission Line (HTL) system, which extends bass response far beyond expectations for their size. HTL directs sound from the long-throw woofer into a central chamber, creating a spiral path that amplifies low frequencies and projects them with authority and control.

The Atom series also introduces Node Audio’s patented Monocell damping, made possible through additive manufacturing. This rigid grid structure replaces traditional fiber damping and also acts as infinite bracing for an ultra-rigid monocoque enclosure. The result is a dramatic reduction in cabinet coloration and a cleaner, more transparent presentation.

Every element of the cabinet is designed for acoustic integrity. The seemingly sculpted cabinet eliminates sharp edges and flat surfaces that disrupt the stereo image, while the close alignment of the tweeter and two midrange drivers maintains soundstage coherence in both horizontal and vertical planes. The ultra-light midrange drivers are designed without a traditional spider, for enhanced clarity through mechanical freedom.

Designed and manufactured in Cambridge, UK, the Atom speakers are available in a variety of refined finishes that perfectly complement modern living environments. The cabinets are clad in custom-made multi-layer acoustic material for superior vibration control, while the structural components are precision-machined from solid aluminum and polished to an impeccable decorative finish.

The Node Audio Atom 525 is a three-way transmission line loudspeaker measuring 450 x 285 x 360 millimeters (H x W x D). The optional matching stand features sleek, matching fabrics and is made of polished aluminum. Its dimensions are 520 x 285 x 360 millimeters (H x W x D).

The Node Audio Atom 650 is also a three-way transmission line loudspeaker and measures 970 x 285 x 380 millimeters (H x W x D).

More technical details, pricing and delivery information are yet to be announced.
