If you have a penchant for deep low-frequency rumbles and crave immersive live music experiences, then the latest offering from Lyravox might catch your attention: The new Karlmann Monolith boasts robust bass while maintaining an audiophile edge – at least according to the product launch press release.

Lyravox Karlmann Monolith: Active three-way system with plenty of membrane area

Unveiled for the first time at the North German Hifi Days in Hamburg, the Karlmann Monolith is a fully active system featuring a 38 cm woofer housed separately with its own complex Helmholtz resonance absorber. This absorber utilizes the cavities of the double-walled speaker housing and its base for optimal performance.

The dedicated mid-high frequency unit utilizes drivers with ceramic membranes, with special emphasis placed on the elegant Accuton midrange driver, renowned for its powerful inverted dome, which costs more than many standalone floorstanding speakers.

But that’s not all: The back of the mid-tweeter unit boasts a dipole magnetostat, flanking the AMT tweeter as part of the “ambience concept,” which projects sound towards the ceiling. The magnetostat aims to enhance both high-frequency energy and deliver an immersive spatial sound experience.

The Lyravox Karlmann Monolith stands tall at 115 centimeters, featuring a casing crafted from finely ground artificial stone. This choice of material not only contributes to its sturdy construction but also lends to its substantial weight, with each Karlmann Monolith tipping the scales at an impressive 113 kilograms.

The active electronics of the Lyravox Karlmann Monolith are powered by three Ncore power amplifiers, delivering an impressive total output of 1,100 watts per channel. Additionally, a remote-controlled preamplifier with a robust DSP is integrated, allowing for direct connectivity with source devices.

The price for a Karlmann Monolith system is $39,990.
