Houchmand M1: The Ultimate High-End Audio System with Luxury Finishes and Cutting-Edge Technology

German audio manufacturer Houchmand is set to debut its new M1 audio system at the High End Show 2025 in Munich this May. The system includes a central streaming and DAC unit, a pair of active floor-standing speakers, and an optional active subwoofer, the Houchmand S1.

What sets the M1 apart is its high-end material finish—buyers can choose from 24-karat gold, 18-karat rose gold, platinum, and ruthenium. Custom RAL and NCS colors are also supported for integration into specific interior design schemes.

System Overview

The M1 system is designed around a central unit that functions as both a network streamer and digital-to-analog converter (DAC). The device weighs 11 kilograms and supports streaming from major services including Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz, and Deezer.

Each Houchmand M1 audio system is handcrafted in Germany and is available in 24-karat gold, 18-karat rose gold, platinum and ruthenium finishes.

  • Wired streaming supports PCM audio up to 24-bit/192 kHz

  • Wi-Fi streaming supports up to 24-bit/96 kHz

  • Built-in room correction adjusts playback to the acoustic environment

  • Controlled via Houchmand’s mobile app (iOS and Android)

Speakers and Subwoofer

The included M1 speakers are active floor-standing models, measuring 103 x 19 x 25 cm. These are three-way designs, using a coaxial driver for the midrange and tweeter. No additional driver specifications, power output, or crossover details have been disclosed.

An optional active subwoofer (Houchmand S1) is available for extended low-frequency response. It supports both analog and digital inputs. Full specs for the subwoofer have not yet been released.

Signal Architecture

Houchmand emphasizes what it calls “Clean Path Technology”, a signal architecture designed to maintain signal integrity between the central unit and the active speakers. According to the company, this results in minimal signal degradation and a consistent transmission path, although no technical data or measurement benchmarks have been provided to verify these claims.

The Houchmand M1 audio system’s central unit connects to the speakers using what the manufacturer calls “clean path technology .”

Pricing and Availability

The base Houchmand M1 system, including the central unit, two active speakers, and remote control, will be priced at €58,500 in Europe. The Houchmand S1 subwoofer adds an additional €19,500, bringing the total cost for a full system configuration to €78,000.

While the M1 clearly targets the high-end audio market with its materials and design, further technical specifications will likely be of interest to those evaluating its performance capabilities. More details may emerge at the product’s official launch during the High End Show 2025.
