Meze Audio has introduced the 105 Silva, a dynamic open over-ear headphone designed to enhance the high-end audio experience with the brand’s renowned rich, expansive, and warm soundstage. The 105 Silva will be showcased at the High End audio trade fair in Munich next week.
Meze Audio 105 Silva
The 105 Silva showcases an exquisite design influenced by the Mid-Century Modern movement, blending vintage allure with modern aesthetics. Its newly crafted ear cups, made from walnut wood and reinforced with premium polymer, enhance its appeal. The headphones are equipped with 50-millimeter dynamic drivers featuring a cellulose composite dome and a titanium-coated rim, promising a clear, immersive, and detailed audio experience as stated by Maeze Audio. The titanium-coated semi-crystalline polymer toroid and copper-zinc stabilizer contribute to the rigidity and strength of the driver diaphragm, facilitating a quick transient response and well-structured bass with minimal distortion. The sound signature of the 105 SILVA offers a fresh take on Meze Audio’s sonic qualities, merging the technical aspects of the 109 Pro with the warmth and versatility of the 105 Aer.
Designers emphasize that the 105 Silva excels in reproducing mid-range vocals and strings, allowing listeners to appreciate the vibrancy and impact of various music genres while retaining the micro-details of high-quality recordings. Years of ergonomic research and development by Meze Audio have culminated in the 105 Silva, which features the same self-adjusting steel headband as its predecessor, the 105 Aer. This design not only provides an exceptional listening experience but also ensures that all materials used enhance overall performance. The high-quality contact materials, including plush ear cups, allow for complete disassembly and replacement of every component, guaranteeing longevity. The 105 Silva will be showcased at the Meze Audio booth during the Munich show, with pricing and delivery details to be announced.
