The Marantz SR5015 is the latest update to today’s most affordable model from this company’s classic series of AV receivers. The main difference from the previous Marantz SR5014 model is the ability to work with 8K resolution via HDMI inputs. The device has retained its recognizable design with a minimalistic front panel, and also still has a 7.2-channel configuration, which is the optimal solution for home theaters in most city apartments.
At the same time, the functionality of the Marantz SR5015 has been further expanded, and the new device also includes support for new standards.
The Marantz SR5015 is based on proprietary HDAM amplifier modules, and its audio part is equipped with 32-bit AK4458 DACs. The receiver has six HDMI inputs and two outputs, which support 8K/HDR10/Dolby Vision video, as well as the new eARC Audio Return Channel and HDCP 2.3 certification. Other connectivity options on the Marantz SR5015 include a phono input for MM pickups and USB for connecting portable media.
The Marantz SR5015 AV receiver is equipped with decoders for all surround sound formats, as well as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. The receiver also has the function of creating virtual surround sound for systems that do not have special high-altitude speakers. Convenience of setting up the device is ensured thanks to the Audyssey MultEQ XT auto-calibration system, as well as intuitive color on-screen graphics.
This model also features Audyssey’s new proprietary MultEQ Editor App technology, which allows you to perform precise sound equalization using a mobile application.
The AV receiver is equipped with full streaming functionality with support for popular On-Line services and the ability to play music from local devices. Roon Tested certification will allow future owners of new products to use an alternative system for managing and organizing content.
Support for the popular HEOS multiroom platform is also provided. Lossless and High Resolution files are available for playback, including PCM 24bit/192kHz and DSD 5.6MHz. To control the Marantz SR5015, you can use a convenient remote control, a proprietary mobile application, or voice commands via Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant.
