The Marantz AV7705 is an AV processor equipped with the latest AV technologies and designed for high-end home theater use. This unit has an 11.2-channel configuration and connects to an external power amplifier or active speaker systems. The separation of pre-amplification and audio decoding sections and final stages corresponds to the concept of building High End audio systems and allows you to obtain the highest sound quality both when playing multi-channel movie tracks and music.
The Marantz AV7705 features balanced and unbalanced outputs from an 11.2-channel processor, providing maximum AV system design flexibility. The output stages are built on the basis of proprietary HDAM modules, which ensures maximum dynamic range of sound and compatibility with various interconnect cables. The device is equipped with eight HDMI inputs (one of which is on the front panel) and three outputs, with the ability to transmit a signal with 4K resolution and support for HDR, BT.2020 and Dolby Vision. The signal from other inputs can be converted using a professional-grade video processor to HD/4K resolution and transmitted to the HDMI output. Of course, the Marantz AV7705 supports all the latest surround sound formats, including object-based Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and Auro-3D. Setting up a multi-channel system can be done using Audyssey MultEQ XT32 auto-calibration technology, which is able to take into account all the nuances of the placement of speakers in the room, as well as their individual parameters.
The AV processor supports all the necessary network technologies and can play music files from available devices (using Ethernet or Wi-Fi connections) and connect to popular streaming services. Also in the Marantz AV7705 arsenal are AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth technologies for direct connection with mobile devices. Marantz uses an AKM AK4458 DAC (384 kHz / 32 bit) on each channel, which should bring the sound to high-end levels.
The Marantz AV7705 AV processor can work with HEOS technology, on the basis of which you can create a wireless multiroom installation consisting of HEOS-supported components, including specialized wireless speaker systems. At the same time, a special application allows you to control the receiver, assign playback of certain content to various groups of HEOS devices, play different music tracks in different rooms, or synchronously broadcast music in all rooms at the same time. At the same time, access to such online services as Spotify Connect, Tidal, Deezer, Sound Cloud, Napster, TuneIn is supported.
The model is equipped with eight HDMI inputs that support HDCP 2.2, 4K (60 Hz), BT.2020 color space and video with extended dynamic range: HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision. There are three HDMI outputs, incl. one for Zone 2 and one with support for Enhanced Return Channel eARC, working with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X codecs. There is an MM phono stage on board. There is a 7.1-channel input, 11.2-channel Pre Out on balanced and unbalanced connectors, as well as a set of S/PDIF inputs and an RS-232C interface. The processor can be linked to automated remote control systems such as Cresrton. The ideal companions for the Marantz AV7705 are the MM8077, MM7055 and MM7025.
