Trinnov Altitude 16 & 32 Get Major Software Overhaul with Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro & Auro-3D Enhancements

Trinnov Audio has unveiled a significant software update for its Altitude 16 and Altitude 32 AV processors, reinforcing its dedication to platform advancement, surround sound innovation, and enhancing user experience.

This complimentary software platform update features a revamped graphical interface, along with improved Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro, and Auro-3D decoding functionalities. Beyond being merely a visual enhancement, the latest release entirely reconstructs the Altitude platform while preserving essential signature features like Trinnov Optimizer, WaveForming, and Remapping.

Trinnov Audio’s CEO, Arnaud Laborie, stated: “We have made substantial updates to the Trinnov Altitude software platform, incorporating new features, streamlining operations, and providing a user-friendly interface that enhances interaction with Trinnov processors for both professionals and end users. In line with our dedication to long-term product relevance, we are delivering these significant enhancements as a complimentary software update.”

The developers assert that the revamped user interface simplifies everything—from routine system management to intricate processor calibration—while preserving the power and flexibility that the Altitude line is renowned for. The new UI is designed to enhance usability for both professional integrators and users, which is essential for a platform utilized in the most demanding home theaters and studios globally.

In addition to the interface modifications, users will gain access to the latest and most sophisticated versions of Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro, and Auro-3D available. This update will also introduce support for Dolby Surround upmixing on wide channels, enhancing precision and control in surround sound systems.

Trinnov states that this release goes beyond mere visual adjustments or codec enhancements. The update is founded on architectural changes that establish a groundwork for future functionalities. It represents an ongoing commitment to the company’s software-focused strategy, which emphasizes continuous development and backward compatibility rather than hardware upgrades.

The new software will start shipping on the latest Trinnov Altitude 16 and Altitude 32 processors before the year concludes.

For those who already own an Altitude processor, the update is planned for release in 2026, following thorough validation and quality control.

Trinnov emphasizes that this is not merely a firmware update: it must be executed by an authorized dealer and will necessitate a full reconfiguration and recalibration of the system.

Comprehensive support for the current software platform versions will persist throughout the transition phase.

To assist integrators and users in their preparations, Trinnov will provide hands-on demonstrations and training at CEDIA Expo 2025, scheduled to take place in Denver, USA, in September 2025.
