Shanling CD-S100 IV (V25) is a new CD player that combines traditional disc playback with modern functions. The device is built on the Ingenic X2000 platform, already used in the ET3 model, and is equipped with a new ROHM BD34352 DAC. This approach allows using the player both for listening to a CD collection and as a universal digital source with support for USB drives, Bluetooth and DLNA/Airplay network protocols.
The model received a DA11 transport with a DS11 laser unit, as well as an amplification circuit on the OPA1612 and MUSES8920 operational amplifiers. Power is provided via a 43 VA R30 transformer, which ensures stable operation of all units. The CD-S100 IV can operate as an external DAC via USB, supporting up to PCM 32 bit/384 kHz and DSD256, and when playing from USB drives – up to PCM 32 bit/768 kHz and DSD512.
The body is made of metal with a milled front panel and is equipped with a color display for displaying information. Balanced and unbalanced outputs, digital optical and coaxial, as well as USB inputs are available for connection. Formats from DSD and FLAC to MP3 and AAC are supported, and when connected via Bluetooth, LDAC, aptX HD, aptX, AAC and SBC codecs are available.
