Meze Audio, renowned for its premium headphones, introduces the Liric II, an enhancement of their first closed magnetostatic headphones, following the acclaimed Elite and Liric models. The Liric II headphones maintain the original Liric’s aesthetic, utilizing magnesium, leather, and anodized aluminum in a copper hue, yet they feature numerous advancements.
Preserving the original’s structure, the Liric II benefits from an updated acoustic architecture without increasing the price. They incorporate Macassar ebony wood on the rear of the earcups, adding to their elegant design.
Performance, frequency response, and sensitivity have seen improvements thanks to the upgraded Rinaro Isodynamic Hybrid Array drivers. Additionally, the Phase-XTM technology has been refined to minimize phase non-linearity, enhancing sound accuracy and clarity.
Each driver is encased in a unique acoustic chamber that directs sound waves through the pads, optimizing the acoustic load volume. A notable enhancement includes the integration of a QWRM, a small engineered metal plate acting as a quarter-wave resonator, further improving sound quality.
Positioned just below Meze’s flagship open-back models like the Empyrean II, the Liric II showcases Meze’s technological prowess. The headphones also feature an updated, more flexible and durable cable, along with a selection of accessories.
