FiiO has released a firmware update for FW5.
Firmware v1.6:
The following changes and improvements have been made in the new firmware:
1. Optimize battery management
2. Fixed an issue that the voice tone changes after the headset is actively connected when the aptX adaptive Bluetooth coding is connected to some mobile phones
3. Add custom EQ to support high-low-pass filter adjustment
4. Add a custom EQ name

How to upgrade the firmware of FW5?
The FW5 upgrade is completed on FiiO Control (or FiiO Music), online upgrade is supported.
Make sure that FiiO Control is installed on your mobile phone, if not you need to download and install it first.
Both Android and Apple devices can complete the upgrades. The users need to pair your phones with FW5 via Bluetooth, open FiiO Control, and click the “Settings”–“Firmware Upgrade” to upgrade.
Before upgrading, please take the left and right headphones out of the battery box and make sure both earbuds are connected (you can check the battery level through the app and confirm the connection status), then perform the upgrade, otherwise an upgrade error message will appear. Only one upgrade step is needed to complete the firmware upgrade of both earbuds.
