LG has just rolled out its latest “LG QNED evo” TV series for 2025.
This new lineup boasts upgraded AI features that enhance image quality and color vibrancy, along with the fresh webOS 25 operating system designed for a smarter user experience.
The larger QNED9M series comes with a wireless external box, known as the Zero Connect Box, which streams UHD 4K/144Hz directly to the TV, similar to what’s found in the OLED evo M3 series.
These QNED evo TVs are powered by a new Alpha 8 AI processor, which LG claims boosts picture and sound quality by 70%. The AI technology analyzes the director’s vision for each part of the image to deliver a superior viewing experience.
Additionally, it features Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro, which breaks down each scene into sections to fine-tune HDR and brightness levels.
LG’s new Mini LED TV collection for 2025 offers a range of sizes from 40 inches all the way up to 100 inches.
The upcoming “wireless” series, called QNED9M, is set to hit the market in summer 2025, available in sizes of 86, 75, and 65 inches. It comes with an external unit known as the Zero Connect Box, which can transmit UHD 4K video and 144 Hz refresh rates without any lag or loss in quality. Plus, for gamers using PCs, the QNED9M series supports AMD FreeSync Premium.
The QNED evo 2025 series boasts a better color range than earlier models, thanks to the new “Dynamic QNED Color Solution” technology that replaces Quantum Dots. LG claims this tech enhances the clarity of light produced by the Mini LED backlight.
Every model in the QNED evo 2025 series has received a full certification from Intertek, a global testing and certification organization, for its color accuracy.
On the audio side, it features a system that transforms 2 channels into a virtual 9.1.2 channel experience. The AI technology here can differentiate between voices and background noise, enhancing clarity and making it sound like dialogue is coming directly from the center of the screen.
The LG QNED evo 2025 comes with a Magic Remote Control that includes a new “AI” button. When you press this button to turn on the TV, the AI analyzes your viewing habits, history, and environment to suggest services, search terms, and shows you might enjoy.
Just a quick tap on the AI button while you’re chilling with your TV will pull up relevant keywords and features. If you hold it down, you’ll get a custom search option that uses LLM (Large Language Model)-based AI to figure out what you want based on your viewing habits.
Plus, there are some cool features like “Voice ID” that lets you access your accounts just by talking, “Generative AI Gallery” that creates images using AI, “AI Image Settings” to tweak your visuals, and “AI Audio Settings” for sound adjustments.
LG Electronics has also rolled out a massive 100-inch QNED model (100QNED89A) to meet the demand for super-sized LCD TVs.
