Leica has introduced a striking new addition to its iconic Safari Edition line with the release of the Leica M11-P Safari—a distinctive reinterpretation of the M11-P rangefinder camera that blends cutting-edge performance with a classic, adventure-ready aesthetic.
First introduced over 50 years ago, Leica’s Safari Edition is renowned for its olive-green finish, a nod to military heritage and rugged exploration. The new M11-P Safari continues this legacy, pairing vintage-inspired design with modern engineering. The camera’s top plate and base are constructed from durable brass with a tough, olive-green enamel coating, while the body is wrapped in a textured leather-like trim for enhanced grip and style.

The camera differs from the basic version from 2022 in its olive-green color and leather-like finish.
Underneath its refined exterior, the M11-P Safari is equipped with a 60-megapixel BSI CMOS full-frame sensor, powered by the Leica Maestro III image processor. It delivers exceptional image quality and dynamic range, catering to both professionals and passionate enthusiasts.
A standout feature of this edition is its support for Leica Content Credentials—a system developed to ensure the authenticity of digital images from capture to publication, reinforcing Leica’s commitment to ethical visual storytelling.
The camera also offers 256 GB of internal storage, a 2.95-inch touchscreen display, and all the hallmark features that make the M11-P a favorite among rangefinder purists.
The Leica M11-P Safari Edition is priced at $10,495, available in limited quantities for collectors and photographers seeking a rare blend of heritage, craftsmanship, and state-of-the-art technology.
