FiiO has released the first-ever in-ear headphones FX15 , equipped with low – current electrostatic emitters.
The hybrid acoustic part of the model includes six different drivers, namely a dynamic driver with a 10 mm diamond-like carbon diaphragm , a Knowles armature driver and four SONION electrostatic drivers . Curiously, the developers have provided the headphones with a special switch that allows the user to turn on and off the electrostatic emitters at will.
To increase the return in the low-frequency range, the proprietary S.Turbo waveguide is used in the body design . The case itself is made of synthetic resin and printed on a 3D printer, with a pattern called “Sound and Shape” applied to the outside. The model comes with a detachable cable with MMCX connectors , pure silver conductors and a modular jack that allows you to install 3.5 mm and 4.4 mm minijacks . The sensitivity of the headphones is 103 dB , the nominal impedance is 24 ohms .
The FiiO FX15 hybrid in-ear headphones are available to order online starting at $799.
