Michi is Rotel’s flagship product series. Fans of high-quality vintage audio will obviously remember these reference-grade models. The Michi series included the following devices, released at different times: Rotel RHB-10 power amplifier, Rotel RHC-10 passive Rotel RHQ-10 phono preamplifier, Rotel RHA-10 active preamplifier, Rotel RHT-10 FM tuner, Rotel RHCD CD player -10, power amplifier Rotel RHB-05.
And now, more than half a century since the series first launched, Michi is back. No wonder this name is translated from Japanese as “direction”. The vector set by undoubtedly successful predecessors is continued by modern equipment. There is also continuity: this is not only a high level of models, transferred to modern technologies, but also a laconic, proven design. Currently, the series includes three models: a preamplifier and two ends – stereo and mono.
The Michi M8 monoblock is a no-compromise Class AB power amplifier, delivering 1080W into 8 ohms and a stunning 1800W into 4 ohms. Its architecture and design ensures smooth, accurate and free audio reproduction from even the most demanding speaker systems while maintaining the required power, rhythm and timing.
The power and amazing control of the Michi M8 speakers is the result of a perfect combination of science and art. The M8 power supply contains two custom toroidal transformers with large power reserves and low noise levels, manufactured in our own factory. They are backed by 4 patented British cross-plate, fast discharge (ESR) storage capacitors, delivering powerful bass and exceptional speaker control even under extreme loads.
To achieve high precision and unparalleled sound quality, the M8 features an array of 32 high-current output transistors, reducing stress on individual components and maintaining energy, rhythm and timing across all amplification stages. Musical expression and fine detail were further enhanced by acoustic tuning of all critical components and balanced circuit design.
The front panel is decorated with a high-resolution display, with a peak power indicator and a spectrum analyzer. Featuring XLR and RCA inputs, 2 sets of custom Michi screw-type speaker terminals, a remote control, and full-featured RS232 and Ethernet connections, the M8 provides all the convenience for installers. This is power at its best and in sleek industrial design.
