With the Powernode Edge, Bluesound introduces a network amplifier capable of delivering 2x40W of power into an 8Ω load. It allows you to easily enjoy music, including wirelessly, WiFi or Bluetooth. Thus, it becomes possible to easily stream music remotely from a local network, from a computer or smartphone. It’s also the ability to access your favorite streaming services and web radio stations, as well as broadcast via Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect or AirPlay 2. Extremely versatile, the Powernode Edge even features an HDMI eARC connector for connecting the amplifier to your TV for streaming audio in stereo or 4.1. .
To make it easy for you to stream music directly from your smartphone or tablet, the Powernode Edge is equipped with a Bluetooth 5.0 receiver. It is compatible with aptX HD transmission codec, which ensures high-quality Bluetooth audio playback. It is also bi-directional and therefore capable of streaming your audio content to your Bluetooth headphones or speaker.
While the Bluesound Powernode Edge can be controlled using the BluOS mobile app, it can also be controlled using the sleek touch interface on the front panel. It features backlit controls for controlling music playback and accessing your favorites.
To take it one step further, the amplifier can even be controlled by voice using smart assistants such as Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri. Additionally, it can be integrated into your home automation system using popular systems such as Lutron, Crestron, RTI or Elan.
The Bluesound Powernode Edge easily connects to your local network and the Internet via its RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port or wirelessly via built-in dual-band WiFi. This way, the amplifier can access music stored on devices on the network, such as a computer or NAS. Additionally, it supports the vast majority of modern audio file formats and is capable of playing high-resolution streams up to PCM 24-bit 192 kHz, as well as decoding MQA files known to be streamed through the Tidal platform.
In addition to accessing files stored online, the Bluesound amplifier will allow you to access major streaming services and web radio through the BluOS mobile app.
