The latest VR-55 MkII SE loudspeakers from American Von Schweikert represent the third iteration in their premier lineup. These speakers deliver outstanding sound precision and clarity, featuring 8-inch ceramic woofers, a 6.5-inch midrange with a cellular dome, and high-quality tweeters.

The term “tweeters” refers to the two units present: one located at the front featuring a metal dome, and the other positioned at the rear, which is a 75mm ribbon tweeter powered by a neodymium magnet system.

The two-woofer system is a four-chamber hybrid, using 100% Polystuffing.

The woofer configuration consists of a four-chamber hybrid design, utilizing 100% Polystuffing. The Q factor of the woofer system is measured at 0.6. This setup is enhanced by an A-Periodic vent that promotes rapid response. Any excess energy from the rear wave is either absorbed or expelled through this vent, allowing the woofers to cease operation as quickly as they begin.

Furthermore, there is an Aktive model equipped with integrated 800Wrms amplifiers, enabling accurate control of the bass level and the flexibility to position the speakers anywhere in the room without compromising sound quality.
