NNNN Audio introduced the Devor 16 passive subwoofer , equipped with two 21-inch horn drivers . The characteristics of the subwoofer are impressive – according to the manufacturer, the novelty is capable of operating from 16 Hz at a level of +/- 3 dB and reaching a sound pressure of 140 dB. At the same time, the subwoofer enclosure is quite compact – especially in depth, which facilitates its installation in the cinema.
The Devor 16 subwoofer has a near-subcardioid polar pattern throughout the entire operating range – even in the infrabass region. This minimizes the need for special room acoustic treatment, as less energy is reflected off the surrounding surfaces.
The two 21″ drivers operate in a push-push configuration in a horn design for high sensitivity, excellent impulse response and minimal distortion.
The Devor 16 subwoofer is suitable for a wide range of applications, from outdoor use to concert halls, clubs, cinemas and auditoriums, as well as for recording studios and home theaters of the highest level. It can be used as a bass effect generator to reproduce thunderstorms and earthquakes realistically.
