Korean designer Dakd Jung has created a wireless speaker filled with ferromagnetic fluid that acts as a music visualizer similar to those found in desktop audio software.
Of course, the inventor did not literally flood the column with ferromagnetic liquid – the device received a kind of round-shaped backlit screen. This glass screen contains a liquid that reacts to changes in the magnetic field when playing music, constantly changing shape. Outwardly, it resembles a lava lamp.
In addition to the unusual visualizer, the speaker received a 3D-printed case, processed to match the style of modern lifestyle devices for the home.
Several upward-facing speakers and a compact amplifier are responsible for the sound. The visualization system is based on the Arduino Nano electronic platform.
