KEF expands active subwoofer portfolio to include Reference 8b models with a pair of 9″ drivers each driving a separate 500W amplifier, KF92 and KF62 with 9″ (KF92) and 6.5″ (KF62) drivers and a subwoofer with original T2 design – compact, flat, equipped with a single 10-inch driver and a 250W Class D amplifier.
Now, these four subwoofers are joined by three more models of the new Kube series – Kube 12b , Kube 10b and Kube 8b . The Kube series subwoofers feature a classic single front driver design and, as the name suggests, a traditional cubic cabinet shape.
The number in the model index indicates the diameter of the used speaker in inches. The amplifier in all subwoofers of the series is the same – it works in class D and provides power up to 300 watts.
According to the manufacturer, the new Kube series has become a natural and expected development of the KEF subwoofer collection in the “from expensive to affordable” price range.
