Last year, the company updated the Reference and Blade series of acoustics, equipping their speakers with elements from the branded synthetic material Metamaterial, which absorbs the back radiation of the drivers and thereby eliminates the resonances of the proprietary UniQ assembly.
Now this technology has been implemented in the more affordable R series – the floor models R11 Meta, R7 Meta and R5 Meta, the bookshelf R3 Meta, the center channel speakers R6 Meta and R2 Meta, as well as the Dolby Atmos R8 Meta modules (can also be used to sound the side and rear channels).
All new models are equipped with 12th generation Uni-Q drivers with MAT (Metamaterial) technology, which also includes solutions such as Tweeter Gap Dampener (tweeter gap damper) and Flexible Decoupling Chassis (flexible chassis decoupling), which eliminate unwanted vibrations. Another means of dampening vibrations is the Constrained Layer Damping system, which consists of a sandwich of prestressed layers. The new models are also equipped with redesigned crossovers.
R-series will be produced in three finishes: black or white piano lacquer, walnut veneer. The R7 Meta floorstanders will be available in Titanium Gloss Special Edition by summer, while the R3 Meta shelf units will be available in Indigo Gloss Special Edition.
Recommended prices in Europe: R11 Meta – €6500, R7 Meta – €5000, R5 Meta – €3500, R3 Meta – €2200, R6 Meta – €1800 (per piece), R2 Meta – €1400 (per piece), R8 Meta €1600, S3 shelf stands €699.
