We have already talked in detail about the flagship speaker systems of the Danish brand B ø rresen with the M 6 index , which were first shown at the exhibition in Munich in May this year. And the official world premiere of the novelty will take place at the Pacific Audio Fest 2023 , which will be held from June 23 to 25 in Seattle.
The B ø rresen M6 loudspeakers are equipped with six unique 4.5-inch M-series drivers. At the same time, two of them serve the mid-range and mid-bass region, while the remaining four provide the low-frequency foundation. The high-frequency spectrum is entrusted to a proprietary ribbon tweeter enclosed in a sealed chamber. The emitter operates from 2.5 kHz and has a sensitivity of 94 dB. The tweeter membrane has an extremely low mass – at the level of 0.01 grams, which provides it with low inertia and the highest speed of operation. All Børresen M6 speakers are internally wired with Ansuz’s flagship Gold Signature speaker cable.
Unlike the exhibition at the Munich exhibition, where the Børresen M6 were shown on a static display, at PAF you can really listen to this extraordinary acoustics. For the world premiere, Børresen M6 will be driven in a class-matched system with Aavik 880 series amplifiers – Aavik C 880 preamplifier and Aavik P 880 power amplifier, Aavik S-580 network streamer and Aavik D-580 external DAC box. The cable harness is made by Ansuz Gold Signature series products. The system also runs an Ansuz PowerSwitch D-TC Gold Signature audiophile Ethernet switch and an Ansuz PowerBox D-TC Gold Signature linear power supply.
And, perhaps, the most important news of the official world premiere of the B ø rresen M6 is that the recommended retail prices for the novelty turned out to be slightly lower than those declared at the Munich show. For a pair of speakers B ø rresen M6 will have to pay 500 thousand euros or 550 thousand US dollars .
