The Primare NP5 Prisma network player appeared in the Primare lineup in the fall of 2019 . The device has received a modern upgradeable platform. And recently it became known that now NP5 Prisma is compatible with the Roon system (the device has received the corresponding Roon Ready certificate). Firmware update is already available for streamer owners.
Adapting the versatile and feature-rich NP5 Prisma to Roon was challenging. The Primare team put in the effort and did it. We highly appreciate the work done. Primare has proven to be an excellent partner and we look forward to new Prisma models with Roon Ready certification in the future,
said Rob Darling of Roon Labs.
Primare, in turn, noted that compatibility with Roon made NP5 Prisma an even easier and better solution for digital music lovers. Primare also stated that Roon support was initially seen as one of the most important options for NP5 Prisma.
The Primare NP5 provides Primare Prisma network player technology for virtually any digital input system and includes all the features of the Prisma-enabled Primare models. Through the comprehensive Prisma app, the device can be controlled from any mobile gadget.
The NP5 Prisma will allow volume control and selectable inputs for previous Primare models with RS232 inputs. In addition to Bluetooth, Spotify Connect, AirPlay2 and Roon Ready capabilities , Prisma comes with built-in Chromecast. This will allow many streaming applications to be used. In addition, the unit will provide playback of content from a network hard disk.
The NP5 Prisma has a suggested retail price of € 500.
