We have already talked about the fact that Canadian businessman Noam Sugarman created Dum Audio with the aim of producing inexpensive Hi-Fi equipment with only the most necessary functionality. The result was the emergence of a mono-brand audio system, where the main source was a vinyl player, which was called The Turntable . Today we will tell you more about it.
The Turntable was developed by high end turntable manufacturer Hanss Acoustics. The turntable is based on a table made of MDF and finished with lacquered wood veneer. The drive here is belt-driven, a custom-made aluminum tonearm is complemented by an Ortofon 2M Red moving magnet cartridge. The player is equipped with an MM phono stage, which can be turned off if necessary. The body of the turntable rests on anti-vibration feet and comes with a dust cover.
In addition to The Turntable, Dum Audio’s audio system includes The Amplifier transistor integrated amplifier with Bluetooth adapter, The Speakers and The Passive Subwoofer. Each item, except the subwoofer, is £633 (the subwoofer is £422). You can buy individual components of the system, or the whole system, saving nearly 300 pounds – without a subwoofer, the entire system will cost 1,604 pounds.
